Imagine looking down at Earth from your spaceship. Earth is our home and the only planet where humans can live. It is blue because of the oceans, and there are many white clouds floating across the surface. In some places, you can see green and brown land masses – these are the continents. Earth is the only habitable planet for us humans because it is exactly the right distance from the Sun. If the Sun were too close, Earth would burn up, and if it were too far away, no one could live here because of the cold. As it is, the conditions are optimal: we have liquid water, oxygen to breathe, a protective atmosphere and a relatively stable climate. This has allowed many different animals and plants to evolve. Did you know that the Earth is very old? In comparison, we humans have only been around for a blink of an eye! But we are interfering with natural cycles, disrupting the Earth's current balance. In this exhibition, you will discover the diverse life on our planet. You will learn what makes the Earth so unique and how we can take care of it to preserve the future of humanity!
